THE WORLD’S LARGEST SWIM LESSON
Kool Runnings celebrated its 5th year of participating in the Guinness Book of World Records – World’s Largest Swim Lesson, on June 22nd on location at the Kool Runnings Water Park in Negril.
This Swim Lesson is an international event, taking place in this exact time slot all around the world.
Each year we have numerous schools within Hanover and Westmoreland participating.
This year we had 144 participants (students, teachers and parents) from Hanover and Westmoreland.
Schools included West End ECI, Negril All Age,Green Island Primary, Mount Airy All Age, and Churchill Primary.
We had Transportation Sponsorship for Schools getting here and back from Patrick Parchment and Stanley’s Sea Sports Limited.
This worldwide event was aimed at improving swimming skills in both children and adults and advocating that swimming lessons save lives.
Kool Runnings is dedicated to the safety of our children and guests who visit the water park and the Adventure Zone.
Our efforts for water safety awareness are spread across our summer season, at Kool Runnings water safety institute.
The ‘World’s Largest Swimming Lesson’ (WLSL) event was coordinated by the WWA – World Water Park Association of which Kool Runnings Adventure Park is a member. WWA has coordinated with the Guinness Book of World Records to break any record set the previous year for the most participants in the WLSL held simultaneously.
